    Privacy Policy

    Effective date: September 1, 2026

    Who we are

A Fresher Place is a food-access platform operated by FINxTIN TECH LLC ("A Fresher Place", "we", "us"). A Fresher Place is a doing-business-as name of FINxTIN TECH LLC. You can reach us any time at hello@afresherplace.com, or by mail at 4300 Ridgecrest Dr SE, Suite L 1255, Rio Rancho, NM 87124.

We connect families with local farms through neighborhood pickups, a produce and food-as-medicine library, community stories, and partner tools for farms, hosts, community organizations, chefs, and stewards. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

    The short version

We collect only what we need to run the service and to reach you when you ask us to. We never sell your email or phone number, and we never sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their own marketing. Families never pay for food through us, and we never process your SNAP or EBT transaction. Household survey answers belong to the community that gave them; we hold them under the consent you grant and we do not sell them. You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete your information at any time.

    What we collect

Depending on how you use A Fresher Place, we may collect:

Account and contact information: your name, email address, and, if you provide it, your phone number, when you create an account, apply as a partner, or opt in to hear from us.

Partner application and profile information: for farms, hosts, community organizations, chefs, and stewards, the information you enter to apply and to build your profile, which may include your business or organization name, city and neighborhoods, a biography, photos you upload, languages, cultural food traditions, links, and, for chefs who will handle or serve food, a legal name attestation and a food handler card. Documents like a food handler card are stored privately and seen only by you and our staff.

Subscriber and consent information: when you choose to hear from us, we record which channels you opted into (email, newsletter, and, in the future, text), the exact wording you agreed to, and the date, so we keep an accurate record of your consent. These choices are always optional and are never a condition of applying or partnering.

Survey and community information: if you take one of our surveys (hosted on our secure form provider) or share a food story, we collect the answers, stories, and photos you submit, and the separate consents you give (to use your answers, to contact you, and to publish your name). Household-level survey answers are treated as community-owned and private, as described below.

Usage and device information: basic technical information such as your browser type and general location by city, and small amounts of information stored in your browser to remember preferences like your selected city. We keep this minimal.

We do not knowingly collect more sensitive information than the service needs. We do not process credit card or SNAP or EBT payment details for family food purchases; farms are paid directly through their own payment processor.

    How we use your information

To run the service: to create and manage your account, show you pickups and produce near you, let partners apply and manage their profiles, and keep the community safe through our review of partner profiles and locations.

To communicate with you, only as you allow: to send you the emails, newsletter, or (in the future) texts you opted into, and to send you necessary service messages about your account or an application. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time.

To improve access and plan supply: to produce de-identified, aggregate demand signals (for example, what a neighborhood wants to buy) that help farms plan what to grow and help communities license their own data. We never include your individual household answers in these aggregates below a minimum group size, and we never sell your individual answers.

To meet legal and safety obligations: to comply with law, enforce our Terms, and protect people and the platform.

    The community data promise

Household-level survey answers are community-owned. We hold them under the three separate consents you give, we do not sell them, and we do not hand your individual answers to a funder, a partner, or an institution. We produce only de-identified aggregates, and we honor a request to remove your information for as long as we hold it. When a community takes over its local operation, the community entity, not A Fresher Place, holds and controls that data.

    When we share information

We share personal information only in these limited ways:

Service providers who work for us: companies that host our software and database, deliver our email, host our secure survey forms, process farm payments, and (in the future) send our texts. They may only use your information to provide their service to us, not for their own purposes. Our current providers include our cloud database and hosting provider, our survey form provider, our email delivery provider, our farm payment processor, and, once text messaging launches, our text messaging provider. We can provide the current list on request.

Approved public profiles: if you are an approved partner (for example a chef or a farm), the profile information you choose to publish is shown publicly on the platform. Your private contact details and any private documents are not published.

Legal reasons: if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our community, our partners, or A Fresher Place.

A business transfer: if A Fresher Place or FINxTIN TECH LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your email or phone number with third parties for their marketing.

    Your communication choices

Email and newsletter: every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link and our postal address, and you can unsubscribe at any time. Opting out of marketing does not stop necessary service messages about your account.

Text messages (future): we are not sending marketing texts yet. When we do, text consent will be its own separate opt-in, never bundled with email or with any agreement, and you will be able to reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help at any time. Message frequency will vary, and message and data rates may apply.

    Your rights

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, by emailing hello@afresherplace.com. We will action your request within 30 days. We honor deletion requests for the information we hold, including survey answers, for as long as we hold them. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your local law, and we will honor those rights.

    Children

A Fresher Place is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. We never publish a minor’s name in a community story, and our surveys block publishing consent for anyone under 18.

    Security and retention

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including access controls that keep private documents and household survey answers restricted to you and authorized staff. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy or as the law requires, and we delete or de-identify it after that.

    Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service grows. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and for material changes we will make a reasonable effort to tell you.
